That moment you realize as a kid you knew you couldn’t socialize but somewhat identified w Sheldon so you had decided to fully emulate him bc he got laughs in the show, but it isn’t actually funny in real life

Then later on when you still struggled you decided to emulate Sherlock from BBC’s Sherlock and then wondered even more why you couldn’t make friends

You need a therapist. It isn’t cute acting like people whom you aren’t.

dawg this was back in elementary and middle school where I then had a multiple identity crises’ after realizing I had no idea who I was anymore, therapists were of no help bc anytime I started explaining just a slight bit of my backstory and reasons why Im like this their comments would show they weren’t capable of fixing it so I had to do it myself

Studied developmental psychology and methods for emotional regulation as well as visualization techniques to be able to assess my own trauma for 9 years. Through my extensive research I was able to fix my issues, but it took a lot of time. this is to say I’m ok now, but I made this post looking for others who did something similar, it was never to be “cute” you infantilizing jackass

Oh I was self conscious and anxious, but my inner need to correct people and make them smarter was stronger bc it was a backwoods country bumpkin town
