Anyone else get that one piece of clothing that you latch onto for weeks/months/years at a time? Like I can’t leave the house and be comfortable without it and if I’m having a bad day I’ll wear it constantly? Currently it’s a denim vest

When I was 11-14 it was a purple tinker bell jacket that my mom had had when I was born and she gave to me to wear once and I just fully stole it, eventually the zipper broke and then the small holes that were already there got bigger and it got covered in stains (I have poor hand eye coordination) and she took it from me when I got home from school and cut it up in front of me and threw it away (she tried throwing it away before and I got it out of the trash and washed it)

For me it was a hoodie from Amazon of my dream college(at the time) that I LIVED in. Until ofc I got denied at that school. Now I have my current school hoodie from Amazon as well! Cheaper and more comfy than bookstore ones!

Can you get an extra denim jacket as a backup?

It’s also been a green jacket that I got after the purple one that ended up on the same path, a pair of shoes that she tossed when I forgot them on an overnight trip, a pair of pants that she ripped open when she got them out of the wash, a sports bra that didnt live through its last wash. Hoping I can keep my vest in good enough shape or hide it from her when it gets too degraded, luckily denim is durable

Aww my gf has her emotional support vest too! You have any patches? Or otherwise embellishments?

I doubt it, it’s an expensive brand, I only got this one because my stepdads aunt died and her husband was giving away all of her stuff because she was a bit of hoarder, so I got a lot of her clothes including a lot of brands I’d never buy. But I do love this vest and it’s new enough that I’ve probably got a good few years before I need to worry

I’m about to start an embroidery project on the back but nothing else on it yet, I’m going to have a garden with some bugs

Thats awesome!! Native flowers and their respective bugs would be so cool to do, ive been wanting to make a linocut patch for my vest along those lines
