I would say it’s more the extremes that are fetishized. I’m bone skinny and honestly feel the same way. Why is being skinny to the bone even desirable when I have to meet a caloric count every day to even survive

I am petite and it’s also fetishized but they don’t call it that. People are mean to fat people and we don’t experience the same hate. It’s all bullshit.
