I mean? Mine say they do? But took them like 8-9 hours for them to get to the hospital when I was admitted for appendicitis and was waiting for surgery. The drives less then two hours

It breaks my heart hearing how so many parents just cut ties with their adult children. When I moved out I called my mom out on all her bullshit and stopped talking to her for several months and yet she still sent me cards and money to help with college and housing. We’re really close now and she’s apologized for how I was raised. I hope everyone can find their found family and have that unconditional love and support

Mine stopped providing for me as soon as I turned 18. Which is why I chose to go to college to live on my own. I’m 22 now and they still never speak to me or visit :/

When I had appendicitis, my parents made a 3 hour drive into 1 1/2 while driving a side by side. That’s so not okay for your parents to do, especially considering how bad appendicitis can be. I’m sorry they did that, and you deserve better ☹️🫶🏻

Dang, Funny thing is I went back to my dorm when I was released after surgery and they only got me a week after surgery and took me home because I was still in to much pain, saying they would help take care of me…. I was alone. Some days I was left to watch kids under the age of five.

Kind of reminds me of when I had a mental health crisis at college and my dad came to see me and support me, then when I called my parents the next day, my mom said she cared and wanted to support me as well, but what she said before that was lowkey guilt tripping me because my dad chose to drive out to my school

Mine got mad and wouldn’t call/answer my calls for a couple days because I wouldn’t drive six plus hours to run an errand for them and go back to college on my only free day
