Packers lowkey are kinda overrated. They were a blocked FG away from going 0-6 in their division last year, and they really didn’t do much to improve the team this year. Matthew Golden could be good, but the rest of the receivers they have are mid or perennially injured, and J-Lo is suffering from Jeff Garcia syndrome
Sure, but they’re kinda in the same situation as the Texans. Overachieved in year 1 with their starter, won a playoff game, then everyone automatically assumed they’d take the next step and go to a SB, and then came crashing down to earth. Packers could be really good, but they’re really not in the same tier as the NFC powerhouses
I think where the Vikings place comes down to how good JJ truly is in his first year of play. I do have faith in him but the Vikings are either going to be similar to last year or better depending on how well JJ does (I don’t think he’ll be worst than Darnold). I don’t think they’ll be expecting him to do anything crazy this year as they’ll probably use him more as a game manager QB until he gets more confident and develops more. Also injuries can impact how teams do but that’s a given.
I say injuries especially with the Vikings bc they’re putting their faith in 2 new interior lineman from the colts (both coming off of season ending injuries) and their LT (who also had a season ending injury). Plus apparently all of their WR’s are hurt rn since they’re trying to bring back Adam Thielen, so that’s something to monitor. Although setting the Vikings floor at 14-3 is lowkey kinda wild.
Injuries aside they have one of the better built teams in the league and KOC is an offensive mastermind and Flores is a defensive mastermind (I still don’t know how he hasn’t gotten another chance at being a HC). I also have a lot of faith in JJ and KOC is a QB whisperer. You have to remember heading into the season last year that Vikings team was worst than this one and was lead by a QB bust.
