I wanna know why the rams chargers cowboys and niners have the benefit of them being named after the cities their stadiums are in but they couldn’t bother to put east Rutherford for the jets and giants and Landover for the commanders

Growing up I was always confused because Commanders represents more DC AND VA and Ravens is Maryland

maybe because putting the states for those teams wouldn’t make it false (ie. they could be called the texas cowboys bc they ARE in texas) whereas being in a. completely different state makes it worse

Foxborough is in New England so that name isn’t wrong like the others, it’s more like the Minnesota Vikings or Carolina Panthers
