I never understood why people use the league having gambling sponsorships as an excuse for players to be on their own teams. They’re two different things

Those are for fans, not players. Fans don’t change the outcome of games.

That doesn’t mean the NFL, a multi billion-dollar corporation, has to put a hard-stop to their career instead of admitting they’ve been a major influence on the gambling addiction plague and providing resources to help Sorsby in hopes he can overcome it and continue his successful career

I don’t deny it’s a bad thing if players are gambling on themselves or even their own sport, I just hate the way NFL goes about dealing with players who have a gambling issue when they’ve played a major part in creating the issue, and when they allow current nfl players to get away with much more heinous crimes for a slap on the wrist
