I think it was more so the fact that they were easily the best looking team in the afc because of the chiefs and ravens significant regression, but I get what u mean. Nobody expected the pats to be this good tho

Oh 100% at this point in the season when you look at the patriots remaining schedule vs that of the colts, broncos, or bills, it would be a catastrophic failure of a season ending if they somehow didn’t get the 1 seed

It’s just that it’s easy to say that now when they’re as solid as they are, at the beginning of the season this was a team coming off a 4-13 season that wasn’t projected to win that much despite the easy schedule
