Hurts is serviceable. He doesn’t surpass the others in many different areas of playing QB but he does everything well enough for it to be utilized. And on top of that, he is fine under pressure, meaning he doesn’t shy away from the big moments ie the Super Bowl.

Not even defending hurts here, but u acting like Chase/Higgins aren’t a better combo. Hill/kelce? Diggs/(geriatric)sanders not bad either.

it's very easy for a QB of the caliber that he's generally compared to to be serviceable in a system like that is the thing, which leads to the discourse we have in here every five minutes

I agree with everything but the pressure thing. He’s fine when the situation is good/great but if he’s getting pressure in his face and or the play calling isn’t good he crumbles. This was very evident in 2023 especially the last couple games and the Bucs game.

tru tru but I’m talking about ACTUAL high pressure situations like being in the big game which historically shows that some athletes always freeze away from or disappear. The literal sense of it.

Yeah I’ll agree with that if like I said the situation is good. He did for the majority of both SBs play at a high level. Although in the playoffs leading up to this year’s SB he didn’t really play the greatest but ig that’s a trade off you’re willing to take if he can play the way he has in the SBs.

He’s not saying they’re the better duo, he’s saying he has a great duo yet has never passed for 4k yards.

Hurts has had 2 good/great play callers among much other help and still hasn’t achieved 4k passing yards.
