Some rules should be updated, let’s be real. The NFL should always be trying to minimize errors that can change an entire game. We literally have the technology to make sure the right calls are made with 100% accuracy, so what’s wrong with using them? Chips are already put into the ball, why are we even relying on a ref eyeballing it for a final call? Also the playoff seeding proposal is the right call. So many teams are undeserving of having home field advantage let’s be real
I like the playoff rule changes that make it more fair, but the rules changing are a double standard. The Bills and Chargers are getting rules changed because they can’t win in the playoffs, but yet the NFL wants ti ban a play that the Eagles run conveniently after they win the Super Bowl
These problems are literally systematic, they affect every single team in the league - not just the teams who have been on the short-end of the stick. Literally NOBODY is saying these rule changes make the Bills or Chargers a better team, you’re creating a false narrative in your own head that nobody else actually has 😂
It’s not the overhead cameras you’re thinking of. It’s the fact that when Josh Allen didn’t get to play an offensive snap in the divisional round vs the Chiefs they bent the knee and changed the rule for him (mahomes had the same thing happen to him but the league didn’t change it for him), and the fact that when Justin Herbert had to go on the road in the playoffs and threw 4 picks and lost by 20, the league is trying to find a way to give him home field advantage
