Yes, it is an excuse. It’s one thing if the WAG is a private citizen — Trevor Lawrence’s wife, for example. She has a reasonable expectation of privacy. If the WAG is arguably one of the top 5 most famous people on earth, a cultural icon, she loses that privilege.
