with certain exceptions, offensive and defensive ratings of superbowl winners the past like decade and a half makes it pretty clear you need an elite offense more to win when it matters, 'defense wins championships' is just a generic statement that sounds good on paper

It’s still the highest scoring offense in NFL History getting shut down. Idc if that was 12 years ago, a team that scores 606 points in the regular season getting held to only 8 points is fucking ridiculous and should tell you how important having a great defense matters
