He does the same thing in close games he can win, like the Chiefs playoff game a couple years ago where they were down by a TD and completely abandoned the run with an entire half of football to play.

No, bad play calling and poor situational awareness applies to both having a lead and blowing it and being able to take a lead and blowing it.
