If the people hating actually cared about the harms done to the environment, she shouldn’t be the only one called out. How is it a better site when it doesn’t have 2023 numbers yet? We all know she ranked the highest in 2022. You can’t say she’s top for 2023 when you don’t even have those numbers… the site I provided includes “the continuation of her tour and constant flights to games”. Unless you have recent number, I’m gonna go with my source over your outdated list

The site you listed literally used a similar methodology. They said they scraped “data from Celebrity Jets” and although the Twitter account is now deleted, they also pulled some of their data from what celebrities posted. And that link shows this:

It’s literally what my site is doing. The site I link says “The myclimate Carbon Tracker uses public domain flight trackers and social media posts from influencers and celebrities”. They both use public domain flight trackers and social media posts

The best I can assume is they poorly worded it. They go on to say: “To calculate the carbon emission values, we use the recognized formulas that myclimate has been using to determine emissions for many years. If we do not know the aircraft type and travel class of a flight, we always assume the lowest possible value for the sake of fairness”. They’re clearly using public domain flights and not “only” social media posts

Regardless, this mini argument didn’t change my point. She isn’t the only one contributing to this yet she’s the only one being called out. Although I doubt she’s #1 for 2023 or this year, even if she was, she’s still not the only one who should be called out.

There’s no “L” to take. The company also says they use “public domain flights” which is a direct statement from the company. Until your source releases 2023 data, I’m gonna stick with mine. Guesstimate if you want though, but don’t pretend that you have “cold hard facts” about 2023 data when your source has none 😭
