A slump implies getting worse as a player. By your definition, Mahomes in 2019 had a “sophomore slump” because he came back down to earth a little bit from 2018 where he threw 50 fucking touchdowns (in case you forgot, the Chiefs won the super bowl in 2019)

What I’m saying is that I don’t think Daniels is going to regress as a player or be worse than last year, but the stats and wins just may not be as crazy as they were.
