To further add on, look how seamlessly the NFL went from the Brady to the Mahomes era and elevated the new stars while the NBA is still milking Curry, Lebron, and KD, who are 37, 40, and 36, because NBA media hates its own players and sportlatenflnews
I love how the NBA community couldn't explain why their league has lower ratings on average and can't market their new stars or find a face of the league, despite being in the most talented era of basketballthe NBA champs this year were literally the 2nd youngest winning team ever, and their star player is 27 and just put up a guard season comparable to a prime Jordan season. Despite this, the NBA media is STILL toxic around him and perpetuates the free throw merchant label, while glazing the shit out of 40 year olds. And they wonder why they’re losing ratings
I can’t wait to see it happen when Lebron and Steph are retired, and the NBA media has to flip a switch and praise the young stars that they’ve spent the last 5 years shifting on. I mean holy shit, every media clip around the NBA is Stephen A or Skip Bayless rage baiting, or Shaq refusing to praise a player, or he does give them credit, and immediately follows it with “they couldn’t guard me though”
Shai you can argue is peaking as a top 5 guard ever right now, and this team is young, and by all means should be the favorite for the next several years. This reminds me so much of the early Mahomes era, but instead of the league embracing their young star (Mahomes is hated now, wasn’t then) all anyone does is shit on SGA for an objectively false narrative.
