Herbert loses a playoff game after having one of his most impressive seasons and is called a lower tier qb. Burrow misses the playoffs after having one good deep run half a decade ago and his stock is somehow rising among those who judge qbs off winsIt’s not that Herbert lost a playoff game, it’s that he plays like absolute dogshit in the biggest moments of his career. And before you blame his supporting cast, it’s the same cast he dominates with in the regular season. We’re not “judging QBs by playoff wins”, we’re judging them by their ability to perform in the playoffs. Burrow has shown us he has that ability. Herbert has not.
I never said he dominated, but he played well and put his team in a position to win. Herbert fell apart when the lights got too bright. No supporting cast would’ve been able to beat the Texans with Herbert playing the way he did. Herbert isn’t a lower-tier Quarterback. But he can’t stack up to Burrow, Lamar, Allen, or Mahomes. And there’s a solid amount of less-talented QBs I would rather have on my team because I trust them to carry their weight in January. I can’t say the same about Herbert.
That’s fair, I’m just not ready to crown him as that high of a QB unless he actually has playoff success We’ve seen Allen and Lamar at least get to the conference championship We’re seen Burrow make it to the super bowl Shit even Trevor Lawrence at least won a game and Stroud already has 2 wins under his belt And we look at Herbert with 0-2 and was dog water in both games
