Everyone defending shedeurs performance needs to understand that this is a next man up league. Players get thrown into bad situations all the time and preform well, that’s why they’re in the league. He had a horrible game, accept it.

He was horrible but to write him off after one game with 0 reps with the first team is ridiculous

Not giving your back up rookie QB any reps with the first team offense is coaching malpractice. Stefanski should be fired off that alone.

Practicing builds connection. Also no browns qb has played well. Flacco was almost out of the league on the browns, so was mayfield.

Sure but also that doesn’t actually change much, like he’s just playing with better players. He was still in all the meetings getting the same information as everyone else he still knew the game plan and all of that. Tom Brady had zero first team reps when he got thrown in. Same thing for any other back up or third string qb who got thrust into the starting line up from an injury

It’s more common than you’d think but it’s definitely a disservice to the team. Personally I’ve never been a fan of stefanski anyways

True but I still think they played a bit better. Shedeur was awful, I think there’s time for him to get better and he probably will but he still played horrible and people just have to accept that. Gabriel played better in his first game (not saying Gabriel’s is better but that’s just the fact of the situation)
