Ppl assume the Commanders have a long window bc Daniels is young, but the whole core is really old. All relevant receivers are pushing 30. Ertz and Wagner are 34. Spent draft picks to get Lattimore and Tunsil who are also ~30. You’re screwed long term.

They are spending the money to bring in vet talent when their qb is on a small contract tho. Long term is a later problem when they have the chance to win a Super Bowl before Daniels gets 60M/year

Vet talent is one thing but I think they’re going a little overboard with it. My worry is just that they’re gonna have like 1-2 years max to compete for a SB, then they’ll end up with holes in everything at the same time due to players aging out and turn into the NFC Dolphins or Bengals.

They might, just gotta kill the draft to sustain it when 25% of the cap goes to the QB. Bengals had a few bad drafts and fell off. Dolphins had empty drafts and fell off. Gotta hit the mid/late picks for role players to sustain
