Herbert or Stafford is the only reasonable take. Maybe Daniels too.

I just don’t like the idea of letting a rookie season put someone in the top 5. Like people were saying that for CJ then he had a sophomore slump

I don’t think that was at all CJ’s fault. All 3 of his receivers were hurt at some point in the year, and his line regressed to being one of the worst in the league. Watching the tape, I think he was a better player than last year, but things just didn’t swing his way.

I agree, but I believe top 5 qbs should be able to elevate their team. CJ will be top 5 someday and Jayden could as well but they need more time

This team won 4 games in 2023 and 12 in 2024, primarily because Jayden had the best rookie season ever. How is that not elevating a team?

It is. But I want to see more than one year of that. Rookies often times have the advantage of having limited nfl tape on them so defenses struggle preparing for the qb. Sophomore year comes and suddenly defenses now have enough tape to understand a qb’s tendencies. It happened with CJ and I’m thinking it will happen with Daniels. Not saying Daniels is a bad qb but we’ve seen one hit wonders before and I want to see consistency with Daniels before giving him a top 5 rating
