They can keep him on the roster and cut him next year for only 30 million in dead cap, I think they’ll draft his replacement and just have Tua be the backup/ bridge

Designating him as a post-June 1 cut would make it a $67M dead cap hit next year, only $11M more than what his hit would be to remain on the roster. My guess is that’s what they do.
