Ok sure, but Herbert still didn’t do anything to help prevent this outcome from happening. Hold everyone accountable here, not just Brandon Staley

Not saying he has no blame, but I see a bunch of people saying “Herbert choked against the Jags” when I mainly thought of that game as one of the worst coaching meltdowns in recent memory. QB shouldn’t HAVE to do much when you’re winning by 27, that’s when you run the ball and milk the clock. Not a Herbert glazer btw (the Texans made him look like Nathan Peterman), just surprised people are letting Staley off the hook for that game

Idk if they’re letting him off the hook as much as they don’t care about his role anymore since he lost his job already. You’re right though, Herbert essentially did his job in the 1st half alone. Blowing a lead like that is 100% a coaching failure.
