I could see Downs if he’s still available, if the Chiefs didn’t have a late 1st I could see Delane but they have a history of taking the best CB available with a later pick and doing well with it

I agree, but they could get another top cb prospect like McCoy or Terrell, it’s not like they’ve never drafted corners high before. I believe they would draft Tate if he was available and no other pass rush guy was available. Our receiver room isn’t the best and no one is gonna turn down giving mahomes a top target, especially when we basically only have rice and worthy and their contracts are gonna be done soon.

I don’t disagree about the CBs but I think with them having other needs and next year’s WR class expected to be good that they hold off on WR in the 1st round in this class.

I don’t think it’s “obviously” Francis over downs. We have 4 guys solidified on the line and we just paid someone to be right tackle. He prolly isn’t the best, but the defense needs help

Their needs are CB, Edge, WR, OT, TE and DT. Picking downs over Delane or McCoy just for make sense to me.
