One time the raiders fumbled to a touchdown (holy roller or something) and now if a different offensive player recovers the fumble it goes back to the spot of the fumble

That’s not true unless it’s a new thing this season. I guess it’s cause of the no advancing after a fumble on 4th down, but last season McBride had a fumble TD

It’s to prevent desperation forward fumbles, even if the fumble clearly wasn’t intentional like the one here it’s just a catch all rule
