Patriots over the Steelers? That’s kinda a crazy take considering the Patriots have never won a Super Bowl without Tom Brady or Bill Belichick
Which team will make it back to the Super Bowl first?

We haven’t been to a Super Bowl since the 2000’s not 2010’s. We are not going back first at this rate, lack of QB development. Lack of coaching integrity and understanding and front office just being plain ol’ stupid. We might as well be the bears with a prettier wrap around it.

So long as the Steelers have Tomlin as their head coach they’ll forever go either 9-8/10-7 and eventually 9-9 once the NFL expands to 18 games and get first rounded in the playoffs or just miss out on

didn't know there were genuinely steelers fans this delusional. tomlin's an overrated coach who doesn't care about much besides keeping his 'non-losing' record to get extended, they're gearing up for the unction run, and the front office seems content staying mediocre. the patriots are at least trying to improve, a brighter future is better than the definition of insanity

The Steelers still make it to the playoffs more often than not. The Patriots can’t even make it to the playoffs anymore Also yeah Tomlin is on a playoff losing streak right now, but he’s taken this team to 2 Super Bowls before, and he is more than qualified to do it again

Yeah back in like the dinosaur ages he took them to Super Bowls. He is clearly not the same coach as he once was

Like it’s actually insane that they still think he’s an amazing head coach

Tomlin isn’t the greatest, but I’d argue he’s getting a lot out of these rosters. Their front office is their biggest problem. They aren’t constructing truly competitive rosters

I’d rather have a full rebuild to commit to being a good team again some time in the future than be a Steelers fan coping on consistently barely making the playoffs with a barely above .500 record every year, knowing they won’t do shit in the playoffs because they’re mid and also not being able to have a good pick, that’s just me tho

The goal of a football team and its fans should be to win the Super Bowl, not to just make the playoffs and not win a game

The last time the Steelers played in the Super Bowl was 2011. And the Steelers played in the AFC Championship Game in 2017. Obviously the Steelers have struggled in the playoffs the last several years, but people act like it’s been decades since the Steelers have done anything and that’s not true. The Steelers are one of the most consistent franchises in the league with Super Bowl appearances in the 70’s, 80’s, 90’s, 2000’s, and 2010’s. Most teams dream for something like that

Most teams dream of being wildcard knockouts, I didn’t realize that was an accomplishment of being almost there.

Jets haven’t made the playoffs in 14 years. Panthers and Falcons haven’t made the playoffs in 7. Colts, Bears, and Saints haven’t made it in 4 Also, the Dolphins haven’t won a playoff game since 2000. The Raiders haven’t since like 2003. Those are just a few examples. The Steelers are always at least top half when it comes to NFL team rankings every year, and there are tons of teams that have no consistency like that

Even a team like the Patriots are on a 3 year losing record streak. A bad year for the Steelers means going 9-8 and barely missing the playoffs. Meanwhile other teams get a 3-14 or a 6-11 season once or twice every 5 years. That’s their version of a bad season vs a Steelers bad season

You want me to clap for mediocrity and I’m just not subjecting myself to that.

The Steelers have been to 3 Super Bowls, won 2 of them, and never had a losing record season in my entire life time. How is that mediocrity? Nobody else on this app can say that about their team. That’s because the Steelers are a consistent franchise. Even at their worst, they’re an average or slightly above average team. It says a lot about the team that these last few years have been the worst for the Steelers this century, and they still had records like 9-8 and 10-7 and made the playoffs

You are encompassing the whole entirety of the century. Stop holding on to a Super Bowl win from 2008. They haven’t won in almost two decades. Yes that is the upmost definition of being mediocre and coasting by.

Yeah records like 8-8-1, I understand the passion but be for real.

It’s obvious you still aren’t really paying attention to what I’m saying. But then again I’m not really surprised in this community The Steelers have been a pretty average or slightly above average team the last 3-5 years. But when your worst seasons in recent years are only average seasons, that says a lot about the franchise and culture of that team as a whole

The worst season the Steelers have had in my lifetime is probably that first season with Kenny Pickett where they went 9-8. That’s already more wins than the Patriots have in the last 2 years combined. People keep acting like the Steelers are a terrible team and it’s just a horrible time to be a Steelers fan. None of us here were ever alive to actually see a dark era for the Steelers because even in our worst seasons, we’re still at least average. People take that for granted

But whatever man. I’m not going to argue forever. If you want to be grumpy about football then by all means do that
