What about Lamar in the same league 😂

I’d do it, Josh Allen is an amazing quarterback, he’s just in the league at the time when there are other amazing quarterbacks as well, so he’s unable to get his time in the spotlight. And that fact that his name always gets brought up and he doesn’t have a ring proves that point, also you stating that proves it. Because if he was a nobody, nobody would talk about it or care.

This is only sounds true if you started paying attention to sports like 10 minutes ago. Most people wouldn’t bat an eye at saying ringless Dan Marino is a top 10-15 all time qb, and if you think that either Allen or Marino are worse QBs than Trent Dilfer than you are actually smoking crack 😭

people like you are why his name gets brought up, that and his yearly chokes. not any actual achievements, you just proved op's point.

His name gets brought up because of the media goons who overrate him

If the post just said that Allen is overrated being that he has no rings then I wouldn’t have any problem and I’d probably agree, but being that it’s saying word for word that he is the “only player in sports history” with “no “rings”” that people elevate over those with rings I had to say something bc that’s not even close to being true 😭 no one can argue that Allen has 0 rings but to say that he’s the only one elevated over those with rings in ALL of sports history is silly as hell 😭

Except the difference between Allen and other athletes who have been elevated despite no championships is that those athletes either (a) made it to the championship round, multiple times even (Dan Marino has been to a SB, Joe Burrow, Matt Ryan, Cam Newton, and for other sports, Aaron Judge and James Harden have both been to the finals) or (B). Had such unmatched regular season success that they were considered to be the best at their positions. (Peyton has multiple MVP seasons b4 he got a ring)

Allen has both never been to a championship and has NEVER had a season where he was the undisputed best QB in the NFL. So the media discourse where he is already referred to as the undisputed best QB in football (and in many cases, he’s referred to as the BEST TO EVER PLAY THE POSITION).. well, it’s hilarious that he is treated like an alltime great when he’s not

I agree I don’t believe Allen is an all time great but he’s up there with Mahomes, Jackson, and Stafford. All 4 are current powerhouses and Allen has no rings since it is a tough competition at this day and age.

again, if the post I commented on was this articulate I’d agree (I might say his mvp & the best all time single season playoff passer rating give him an argument that he’s better than most qbs but I’d ultimately agree that he’s not the goat or whatever). the problem is you are saying things rn that were not in the original post, so I can’t retroactively go back and edit my og comment to suit what you’re saying now. As the post stands I think my comment still holds up

also idk who in the media you’re having one-sided arguments with but idc bc talking heads get paid to say bs all the time?? like they can call 9 the second coming of Brady tomorrow and it’s no sweat off my back bc I know they only get paid when I get outraged 🤷🏽‍♂️😭
