Mike Evans is one of the most overrated players in football. Amazing longevity, but his lack of a great peak hurts his overall resume a lot. Never at any point was he a top 5 receiver in football.
Mike Evans is the 2nd greatest WR from his own draft class. Davante clears him in terms of resume and it isn’t even remotely close.

Davante fell off when he didn’t have Aaron Rodgers throwing him the ball. Meanwhile Mike Evans has been elite with Mike Glennon, Josh McCown, Ryan Fitzpatrick, Jameis Winston, 40 year old Brady, and Baker

1516 Yards (3rd) and 14 TDs (1st) and a 1st team all-pro with Derek Carr throwing him the ball in 2022. Try again. Don’t act like Jameis wasn’t a cheat code for receiving stats btw. Look what Jeudy did in the games he had Jameis this year. And that “40 year old Brady” in Tampa threw for 4633 yards and 40 TDs in 2020, 5316 yards and 43 TDs in 2021 (2nd in MVP voting) and 4694 yards and 25 TDs in 2022. Implying that Brady wasn’t still that guy is disingenuous and makes your argument look weak.

"elite" isn't barely scraping by an arbitrary statline while never being close to the best player at your position

This too. Evans has hovered between the 8-20th best receiver in football for basically his entire career. Good, sometimes great player, but absolutely never an elite player.
