You can tell someone who has never watched football in their life posted tho because nobody has ever considered Ole Miss and Penn State rivals.

Mountain lions are absolutely not an endangered species lmao. They are actually commonly hunted in the US. Stop tryna create a false story

Game and fish gives a certain amount of permits out for hunting each animal, with deer being easy to get a tag for and rarer animals that need less human management like mountain lions being much harder/more expensive to get a tag. Game & fish manages populations with the amount of tags given out. I guarantee he didn’t post it on social media as a high-profile person without getting a tag to hunt it because game&fish would be up his ass. Stick to the endorsing Trump to hate him

Because bro is getting rightfully call out for trophy hunting to throw shade at a non rival college?

upvote -4 downvote
default user profile icon
Anonymous replying to -> OP 11h

No because you people think he’s poaching. That cat tag wasn’t cheap and the proceeds from the tags issued go to conservation. States also issue the tags for population control considering humans are really it’s only predators.

Where did anyone say he was poaching? That didn’t even cross my mind when I made this post

Killing an endangered animal is poaching they don’t issue tags for endangered species. You threw shade by basically calling him a poacher which is a lie.

Or the alternative (and correct theory) is that you made a false inference and I thought it was a shitty move regardless

You don’t need to explain hunting regulations here. I’m a proud non hunter now but I grew up one and am well versed.

Lmao “proud non hunter” tells me everything I need to know. You don’t have to like it but don’t call someone a poacher for a tagged kill.

This is what I came to comment. As long as he was hunting ethically I don't see the problem with this. A lot of people love to hunt that doesn't make them a terrible person, actually a really nice bag. He's a shitty person but not for the hunting lol.

Very true bud. Thats actually fair. Now that I think about it Jaxson dart is probably mentally unwell enough to be part of the ultra small segment of the population that eats mountain lion.

It's actually a highly regarded game meat. Lots of people eat it. MUCH MUCH BETTER than eating an animal that lives it's whole life in a cramped farm with genetics that basically make it an ungodly creation. You're the only one that thinks this is a problem.

That's at least a better take than hating someone for hunting a specific animal that's legal to hunt. At least you being a vegetarian is a consistent frame of thought. I don't agree, because animals are here for food, and it's entirely natural to eat animals, but I respect that more than hating the mountain lion for no reason specifically.

upvote 3 downvote
default user profile icon
Anonymous replying to -> #11 9h

I assume you're a vegetarian anyways, because if you're not I go right back to not respecting your opinion. If you feel that way that's fine but you better not eat any animals or you just got it all twisted.

And you can tell OP doesn’t know much about hunting as the mountain lions population in the US isn’t endangered. In fact, it’s very stable and expanding in some cases. Heck, in my state it’s basically year round season if you’ve got a license. Also mountain lions population meat is quite tasty as well.

Absolutely wild to me this post seems to upset you as much as it has. Your opinion on this is very much in the minority. 95% of people see someone shoot a majestic animal like a mountain lion for no reason other than a picture and a wall mount and assume there’s something wrong with them.

Anonymous replying to -> #10 2h

Also if we’re speaking objectively here, animals aren’t ‘here for’ us in the first place. A mountain lion exists for the same reason we do: evolution and survival. Saying animals exist for human consumption is just humans placing themselves at the center of everything. Nature doesn’t assign animals a purpose based on what benefits us

I mean the game they played was in Cali where species of mountain lions are absolutely considered endangered, but I can’t say where the photo was specifically taken. That being said Ole Miss and Penn State are definitely not rivals and like you said he’s a shitty person for other reasons lmao

Depends on the state and type of mountain lion ^^^ but for the most part they are not. So like I said it depends on which species and where he did it. I can’t tell from the photo so I’m not gonna judge him for this, but it does depend.
