Jalen Hurts is not a top 5 qb, but he IS a top 5 game manager

Passing chart of a “top 5” QB btw. A single pass that wasn’t at, or behind the line of scrimmage, and it was only complete because the Chiefs DB couldn’t catch up to Devonta Smith while the ball hung in the air for 5 fucking seconds

Mahomes last year wasn’t much better 🤷‍♀️

Who tf cares! Out of your top 5 qbs only he and patty got rings. How can you hate outside of the club when you can’t even get in?

Top 5 qb doesn’t mean top 5 passer btw. Hope this helps.

Nobody should think he’s vastly better than the other top quarterbacks in the league anymore

But let’s not pretend he’s not a 2 time MVP and one of 3 quarterbacks with a 5,000 and 50 season. Jalen Hurts isn’t in the conversation with him and that’s ok. He’s a good quarterback but not a great one

I’m not a Cowboys fan, though I do think Dak is underrated because he’s in Dallas, and to me the top 5 is Allen, Lamar, Burrow, Stafford, Mahomes and Mahomes

Hurts is to the NFL what Tatum is to the NBA, a very good player who you can win a whole lot with but at the same time there’s a ceiling that other top players have that he just doesn’t. And that ring has a whole lot more to do with the Eagles defense, 21 points were scored off takeaways/turnovers on downs

One had AJ Brown and Devonta Smith. The other had rookie Xavier Worthy and retirement home Travis Kelce

Dawg that is a wild take lmao. Tatum is still a top 5 player in the NBA. Hurts isn’t even a top 10 player at his position.

I mean shit I can legitimately name 100 players in the NFL that are better at their position than Jalen Hurts. The only guys with even an argument to be better at their position than Tatum as of right now are Jokic, Luka, Giannis, SGA, and depending on how you feel about health, Embiid. Tatum is an elite player, Hurts is a fine starter.

3rd comment on leaving, but like, I’m sorry, but to say Tatum is in the same tier of player as Jalen Hurts is beyond disrespectful. There are not 100 NBA players in history better than Tatum. There are 100 active NFL players better than Hurts.

Yeah but you gotta have passing in your bag to be a top 5 QB. Of the best runners at the QB position only 3-4 are in the top 5-10 QBs those being Allen, Hurts, Lamar, and Jayden because most of the best runners at the QB position are guys like Fields or Richardson

It’s not that he can’t throw, he’s just not good enough to be a top 5 quarterback. 7-10? Absolutely, but not top 5

When you have the best pass protection in football, are working with AJ Brown, Devonta Smith, and Saquon Barkley as your offensive supporting cast, and you STILL cannot have a consistently great offense, then you are not a great QB. There are several other QBs putting out better tape, better stats, and better offensive results with substantially less to work with. Hurts is borderline top 10 at best.

Having such a great run game makes it even more embarrassing how anemic the passing game is when Saquon demanding so much defensive attention should make the drop back game so much easier, yet Hurts looks like he’s never thrown a ball before, even with no pressure and AJ Brown wide open
