Have you never watched preseason football before? They always pull guys out to see how they all play. Any guy who’s a starter or high draft pick isn’t playing a full preseason game most of the time.

Except the coach was on record saying he will only get 2-3 drives per game for preseason. Given the amount of true roster battles they have it would be a waste of snaps to give them to a guaranteed starter.

The titans are a franchise that knows its not clearing 5 wins this season. They see the whole season as practice reps for Ward. Yes he's guaranteed to start he needs the reps. They will not risk injuring him in a preseason game.
