The question isn’t if he’s gonna be back, but rather what he’ll look like after an offseason where he’s rehabbing and not exactly participating in camp/OTAs and if it even makes sense to rush him back and risk complications

If I was running the Chiefs I’d know that Mahomes is my golden goose for the next 5-8 years if I play my cards right and there’s no reason to jeopardize that over a season where the roster isn’t exactly Super Bowl caliber

With the way how weak the AFC is, chiefs can easily win another SB this year

No you can’t. The Rams, Seahawks, and Broncos are decisively better than the Chiefs from a roster construction standpoint, the Chargers just need a healthy year from their offensive line to enter the upper echelon of the conference, the Jags and Pats are gonna be tough out for the top teams in the conference, if Stroud gives the Texans anything at all they’ll be extremely dangerous, the Bengals and Cowboys are mediocre defenses away from being truly dominant

And the entire NFC North is gonna be a problem. Mahomes is great but even if he backpacks the Chiefs to the Super Bowl it’ll be a rehash of Super Bowl 59

If I know anything about nahomes, it’s that you can’t compare him to normal standards and parameters. I think this season is more about Reid than it is mahomes ngl
