Yeah I had never heard his music before so I was a little disappointed with the show. I went and listened to some of his other popular songs that he didn’t play and I thought there were some bangers that had much more energy!

Because he made a political statement any criticism is just assumed racism. Like I LOVED the political part of it, as well as the set and visual storytelling those were all amazing. Having the whole thing take place in a sugarcane field as an homage to the sugarcane slavery that ravaged the carribean the carribean for centuries? As a garifuna myself I fucking LOVED that, but the music sucked

The only problem with prioritizing story telling over energy and vibes is that people who can’t understand it just see it as boring.

The thing is, the songs he chose weren’t even about all that. It’s just songs about how he gets bitches and shit and you know typical rap stuff. Like nothing lyrical or deep at all
