Because his impact goes so far beyond his counting stats. He was an absolute cancer in NY, getting his coach fired, controlling the WR room to just be his buddies even if they sucked, and essentially being the OC on the field. His media presence was also a massive distraction for the team, and it showed on the field with how the Jets performed. Even the defense severely underperformed compared to its talent level. Also, a lot of those TDs were in garbage time, and Rodgers’s advanced stats suck

I don’t even hate the Rodgers signing in a vacuum anyway, but I hate how delusional Pittsburg is by convincing themselves this team is at all playoff competitive. This team should be selling and preparing for just ONE year to be bad and go get a high draft pick, but instead they pay TJ Watt 41 million dollars. This team inevitably is gonna win 8-10 games and either miss the playoffs, or get fucked in the first round, and just keep going through this cycle forever of mid, but cant’ rebuild.

Also it’s worth mentioning that he did all of that while playing for the Jets last year. He made a lot happen out of nothing. Also Rodgers is just a one year deal for the Steelers. He’s just a guy to come in here this year and try to make a SB run while Will Howard learns and the Steelers look forward to the draft next year
