The dialogue should be about how wins shouldn’t be considered a QB stat

Regular season mvp does a LOT and I mean a LOT especially in comparison to Eli’s lack of a single mvp vote ever in his entire career. Plus superbowls are team accomplishments

Stafford has the MVP and also has WAY better individual numbers. Eli has never been a top 5 quarterback in an individual season

They are the player that has the most influence on the win and loss of the team

They have the final say on the offense though, the defense is important but there is no one player on a team that has more influence on the game. A good QB can instantly transform a team

They have the most influence, but every player matters and even the best QB wouldn’t accomplish anything without a good team around him. That’s why Lamar Jackson, Josh Allen, and Joe Burrow have combined for 1 SB appearance and 0 wins. You can’t treat it like basketball.

That’s true. Tom Brady is a good example of this during his first year with Tampa Bay. The Bucs went 7-9 without him the year prior with Winston and next year Super Bowl ring. He added Gronk and AB and a couple players but there were not too many front office moves between the year before and when Brady got there

Let’s keep using the “if” argument. NFL fans never learn but I’m not going to blame you, you are just a fan that pays attention to the nfl
