Shit this means they’ll make the playoffs. I don’t think I’ve ever seen him be correct about something

Broncos in last place isn’t even crazy though

First off, yeah it is, the raiders are still in our division and still have A TON of weaknesses on offense and defense, do I think they’ll be better? Yes but better than 4-13 isn’t hard to do. Second off, it’s the rest of his statement I have an issue with. Broncos fans haven’t been claiming “it’s our year” for the last 6 years, we aren’t the cowgirls…

He usually isn’t tbh. Chiefs fans love him because he glazes them, the rest of the nfl hates his guts

I’m a KC fan, and yeah idk where the “this is our year” shit came from. I don’t hear that at all. I wouldn’t bet on Denver coming in last, but I wouldn’t be entirely shocked if it did. Geno is a major upgrade, Jeanty is a major upgrade, Bowers is entering year 2, Crosby is back healthy, etc. Again, wouldn’t bet on it, but is there a world where the LV offense is genuinely pretty good, while Bo Nix regresses? Yeah I can see it.

My biggest problem with the Raiders - they don’t have a defense outside of Crosby, and how are you going to throw the ball? Split targets 50/50 between Jeanty and Bowers? They’ll be fatigued by week 7. I absolutely agree they’re major upgrades from what they had but the holes they have shine brighter than the positions they have filled

If the Broncos somehow come in last in the division all 4 teams will make the playoffs

I also didn’t see the chargers make major upgrades on defense either, they no longer have a pass rush and their second and third level would worry me if I were a chargers fan.

I think you’re underrating Jakobi Meyers. 1000 yards last year. 2 1000 yard receivers and what should immediately be a top 5-8 RB in the league is more than enough for a weapons group.

Has it ever happened where all 4 teams make the playoffs? That is just so beyond unlikely.

Yeah, but I have faith in Harbaugh giving the Chargers a decent floor at the very least on defense, should still be a top half of the league unit. A top 16 defense with what should be a very good offense with Hampton and Najee added, Alt in year 2, Ladd in year 2, etc, and with a very good QB.

And maybe I am, however, I’ve never perceived him as that good of a receiver, and maybe he shocks me, but he’s still barely a WR1 in my eyes, no it hasn’t, but that doesn’t mean it can’t/ won’t, sure yeah. This division could very easily end up being an absolute slugfest up until week 18 but the raiders have to actually play football. Which who knows 🤷🏻‍♂️

All in all, I’m not worried about us, we can take any team in the division we showed it last year. And Bo will take the leap he needs to and actually have a supporting cast this year

I’m of the opinion that Bo has kinda capped out already

Are you also of the opinion that JD5 is “kinda capped out already”? were you of that opinion after Joe Burrows rookie year?

No, as those are much higher end prospects with better tools than Nix. Nix’s ceiling is around like, A Jared Goff level, top 8-12 QB in the league. Hes not quite there, and maybe he will get there, but I wouldn’t bet on it.

What tools does Bo not possess? The ability to get outside the pocket? Seen it. The ability to make long throws? seen it. The ability to read the field? We’ve seen it? So tell me, what doesn’t he have?

He was literally the worst QB in the league at intermediate throws over the middle of the field lol

According to what?

PFF tracking stats when he throws to different regions of the field, and just watching the games. He’s good in the quick game and has a good deep ball, but he can’t throw over the middle of the field.

Anonymous replying to -> #4 7w

That’s not true, he can, but it’s not where he thrives, in fact, I’ve seen him sling it across the middle of the field, and the exact play I’m thinking of happened against the chiefs last season to set us up for what should have been a game winning field goal.

Sure, Nix thrives in other areas, but that’s not a bad thing, Sean Payton drafted Bo for a reason, and it’s because he can run the offense that Sean Payton (a Super Bowl winning head coach) wants to run. And he can run it quite well

I don’t mean he quite literally can’t do it, I mean he’s not good at it. A good QB has to be able to throw over the middle of the field, unless you’re Aaron Rodgers

Yeah, he can run a well designed offense well. That’s called a game manager.

This isn’t true, Russell Wilson won a Super Bowl and doesn’t throw over the middle of the field, ffs now we’re just making stuff up

Every QB in the league is a game manager then dawg.

The point of the OC/HC is to design an offense that plays to the offenses strengths, if they don’t do that they’re not good at their job

You mean the Superbowl where one of the greatest defenses of all time completely humiliated the best statistical offense ever? I am not exaggerating when I say the Seahawks could’ve won that game with me under center lmao.

There’s a difference between a manager and an elevator. Nix isn’t gonna do anything outside of the structure of the play design the way a Mahomes, Allen, Lamar, or Burrow can

Yeah, and there’s nothing wrong with being a game manager. He’s just never going to be an elite QB.

This isn’t even true, I’ve seen him turn nothing into something, a few plays come to mind, another one against the chiefs on a scramble drill. You’re underestimating Bo and how much he can actually do

A few instances of it happening do not make him a good creator. Every QB in the league has done it before, but it’s rare for that to be a consistent part of a QB’s game

Anonymous replying to -> #4 7w

I can think of a few every game, see all you’re doing is stating you don’t actually watch Broncos football (or didn’t last year) and that’s okay) but you should at least admit you don’t watch the team

I do lol. He’s not a consistent creator out of structure and can’t target the intermediate part of the field. Anyone who isn’t a Broncos fan can see that.

You obviously don’t because I can think of multiple times per game he created something out of nothing, and he’s actually good in open space as well. But again you don’t want to give credit where credit is due because it would hurt your ego. Broncos fans know what we have, even if nobody else sees it, and we’ve seen plenty of it
