Last seasons MVP and MVP runner up have completely shit the bed, back to back games. Interesting.

The through line I draw is that neither guy played in the preseason

Those live reps matter, and no matter what you do in practice you can’t really replicate a game and if I’m running a team I would never be sending my QB out there in week 1 with no preseason reps unless they’re injured

Lamar and Josh didn’t play in preseason last year and their debut against each other was beautiful. Tell your QB to get it together

Are we forgetting the fumbles and mental lapses both teams had in that game? Josh Allen and Lamar played well but other guys were clearly rusty, and it’s worth pointing out that neither the Ravens nor the Bills are anywhere near as good as San Francisco or Seattle defensively

And Drake absolutely has to get it together, I’m just saying it might be easier to get it together if he had played in the preseason. Getting game reps with his new weapons would’ve been good

You said neither guy played in the preseason. So yes I’m just talking about Lamar and Josh didn't play

Look at what Burrow has done earlier in the year as another example of what I’m talking about. Allen and Lamar are exceptions, but they don’t disprove the rule.
