I don’t understand paying tons of money to older players on teams that aren’t superbowl contenders. Accomplishes absolutely nothing. Both Garrett and Watt aren’t moving the needle for their teams and the teams would be better off trading them.

they're both directionless and would rather be mediocre to poverty with a good piece than risk losing it for a bad deal

They easily are getting at least 2 first round picks for Garret and build for a decent future. Look at what the Lions could do because they traded Stafford instead of keeping an aging vet on a bad roster.

Idk I’d rather be ass for a year than to be mid forever

And what is Watt doing for the Steelers rn? I’ll tell you, he’s keeping them mid instead of bad, meaning they’re never gonna have the draft capital to go get a franchise QB. They’ve been stuck in purgatory of too good to get a high pick, but not good enough to win anything, for like 6 years now.

Who says they’d be mid forever. Garret drfensed the browns to the playoffs in 2023

Watt is not the reason the Steelers are mid lmao it’s their bad QB situation. If they got a top 15 qb they’d automatically be a sb contender

Get rid of watt they’d probably still go 9-8

Watt is the reason the team isn’t ass, and if Watt weren’t on this team, they may have the draft capital to go get a top 15 QB. You are severely overestimating how good this offense if you think it’d be a superbowl contender with a decent QB.

There are 32 teams in the league. 14 make the playoffs. Thats just under half. You can absolutely be mid and make the playoffs, especially if you are getting blown out in the 1st round.

oh sorry, so we can only consider the 16th best team in the league mid, got it. Also, they had the #2 pick last year lmao

So they aren’t perpetually mid and had a high pick…

the STEELERS are perpetually mid. The Browns are just ass and signing a 30 year old edge rusher instead of getting multiple 1sts and building for the future

the Steelers are always mid. The Browns at best are mid, at worst, the worst team in the league
