Spurs had 43 projected wins at the start of the season, they were way ahead of schedule Nowhere near the same situation as the Lions who are well past their SB window

The Lions were projected like 9.5 wins in 2023, and were considered way ahead of schedule by going to an NFC championship in year 3. Both teams had great young talent on cheap deals, and both the Spurs and Lions choked away games in which they were easily the better team. Yet I’m supposed to believe that the Spurs will have 10 more years of chances but the lions will never sniff the playoffs again?

It’s definitely the same situation. Believing a young team “will be back” is just copium.
