As an Eagles fan, the discourse around Jalen Hurts has gotten completely ridiculous. He’s obviously a good enough QB to start for a successful team, but he’s also not sniffing the talent of the two that played last night. It’s ok for him to just be good

He is better than Lamar and he is better than Josh.

He’s not and he doesn’t have to be. He’s a great culture guy and he’s good enough to get the job done. But Lamar and Josh Allen looked spectacular last night and Jalen looked like he was just kinda going through the motions

Jalen played a perfect game lmao wdym. He looked calm, collect, he was insanely accurate, went through his progressions faster than usual, and he didn’t try to force it downfield to aj and smitty when they were almost never open, and when one of the receivers did get open he dropped a 50 yarder right in the bucket to Dotson. Even sealed the game with his legs. 19/23, and the 4 incomplete were a drop, and 3 throwaways. Absolutely nothing to criticize

Lamar and Josh did not look spectacular at all. Hurts was on fire Thursday night

Bro let’s not lie to ourselves pretty sure Lamar had a 140 passer rating or something him and Josh were great Thursday. Their defenses however, Jesus Christ

My take on Jalen is that he is a very good QB at playing clean, taking care of the football, and not forcing things. I’d say that puts him above many of the QBs in the NFL. But there’s a group of QBs at the top (Lamar, Allen, Mahomes, Burrow) that can generally take care of the ball AND create lots of opportunities by forcing things other QBs wouldn’t be able to. Jalen doesn’t do that so much and I think that’s ok. He’s shown you can win by just doing what you’re supposed to

I guess a good way to put it is that Hurts is maybe the best QB in the NFL at executing plays exactly how they’re drawn up. Which is great in a way. But there’s a couple QBs that can take plays completely the opposite way they were supposed to go and make something really good out of it, and that’s just something I don’t see Hurts do a lot

That’s fair and Allen and Mar I get but Joe didn’t do anything special Sunday and squeaked by with a win

Well I’m basing my opinion off of his career rather than just this past Sunday
