I think it’s crazier to refuse to see that he’s had a very significant and noticeable drop in production the last 2-3 years. Didn’t even make the pro bowl or all pro team the last 2 years, and the only reason he made it in 2023 was because of fan voting. Whether or not this was just the Matt Nagy of it all, we’ll see next year, but Mahomes just went 6-8 as a starter with a top 4 defense and missed the playoffs

Even if you want to say he’d have won the chargers game if he hadn’t gotten hurt, and then probably won the rest of the games, the chargers would’ve played their starters against the broncos week 18 and beat them again to secure the wildcard spot over the chiefs
