 Potentially hot take #1: college transfer rules and NIL. Students should get 1 transfer without penalty and after that one, they should have to sit for a year after a transfer like they used to. You’re trying to prevent Bear Alexanders, not Joe Burrows

For NIL, break it back down to name, image, and likeness. Athletes should get a portion of revenue of their own jersey sales, they should get a check whenever their face is used on a billboard or other promotional items, and they should be allowed to seek out brand deals. The schools should NOT be paying these kids millions of dollars. Allow them to make their own money, do not give them a salary

Not nfl also student athletes not getting salaries is idiotic quite frankly given how much of their health they’re putting at risk and the amount of money they’re making for the school

I think that nil is ridiculous and unfair and the transfer rules are also ridiculous. But nil money even if it’s not that much for sports that don’t have an nfl or any other revenue possibilities is a very good thing.

I figured it was close enough since they’re semi pro athletes now that they get salaries and they become NFL players. Your point is why I think they should get paid but I hate seeing “Nico Iamaleava has re-signed to UCLA for another year”. Giving them a 3 million dollar salary makes them semi pro athletes when we need to keep a focus on these people being in college. I like it the Johnny Manziel way in that you should be able to make money off of autographs and stuff like that, just not a salary
