Eagles fans on their way to claim every player on their team is top 5 at their position, and then downplay how good their team is so that they can glaze Hurts and pretend he didn’t get carried.

They genuinely have top 10 players in most/every positions

The crazy thing is that there’s not even a good argument against Hurts being carried, he’s not bad but he’s not top 10 and them constantly pushing that narrative sets Hurts up to be crucified when he eventually does show his flaws. I could understand saying he’s not a system/game manager QB directly after/during the 2022 season but not now. Also I don’t understand this obsession people have with trying to prove their team’s QB is top 10 etc…it doesn’t matter if your team is winning games.

Wait, genuine question. The fans are down playing how good they are, but they aren’t top 5? I don’t get what you mean here lmao

For example if Will Howard develops into the Steelers long term starter and is just a bigger Jalen Hurts with a stronger arm I’m still enjoying my QB (as long as he’s fun to watch and contributes to winning games) but I’m not overrating him. In fact if someone were to call Howard a system QB I’d just turn the argument around on them and tell them a system QB lead team beat your team.

In separate arguments they’re talking about how good the majority of their roster is and how a lot are in the top 1-10 range for their position, but in other arguments when they’re trying to talk highly about Hurts they try to downplay how great the rest of the surrounding roster is to make Hurts look better than he is.

This whole hurts top 5 thing is so fucking brain dead. “Top 5” is an opinion, meaning literally nobody is right. He’s a fucking Super Bowl champion dont nobody care about the rest of that shit non ironically 😭😭😭😭

This is such a stupid comment lmao. If everything is an opinion and not worth debating, then why talk about sports at all? Whats the point of any of this if we can’t debate opinions? Also, not all opinions are valid. I can say “Lamar Jackson isn’t a starting caliber QB” and that may be my opinion, but my opinion is wrong.

It’s not an opinion such as which food you think tastes better and which food I think tastes better. It’s a fact based opinion you can have as there’s context, stats, film, and an understanding of football that lets one know how good a player truly is. Also a TEAM accolade doesn’t make a PLAYER good/great.

So funny thing, when a person says/types something and someone replies to that, that’s called a conversation.

So funny thing, I was talking about a lot of posts on Yikyak about what eagles fans say or do, not the definition of what a conversation is

Funny thing, Eagles fans start a lot of conversations by saying/doing asinine things.

I don’t deny that they do asinine things (by the way many fanbases do) but people never stop talking about everything an eagles fan does down to a Twitter comment

Not to the extent that the Eagles fans do, outside from all the awful things they’ve irl, online they’ve been pushing stupid narratives for years. When a fanbase is that stupid and annoying and constantly bringing attention to themselves then people are going to keep talking about them. Lions fans were annoying a couple years ago and once they stopped people stopped talking about them. Same thing with Bengals fans before that and so on. If Eagles fans want to have people shut up about them then

Eagles fans definitely know ball but everyone chooses to focus on a select few to push their narrative that all eagles fans are nasty

I’ve met very few Eagles fans that know what they’re talking about and have met a lot more that are casuals. I’d rather talk ball with Steelers fans than Eagles fans and that’s saying something bc most Steelers fans are drunk idiots. (I’m a Steelers fan and I don’t like most of our fanbase when it comes to ball knowledge)

Lmao people always talk shit on eagles fans. That was basically Jason kelces entire SB speech. But they won the bowl this year. Of course people are going to talk shit on them constantly. Shits a given even when they don’t win it all lmao
