It depends, if the Oilers don’t make it next year they might be fucked after that with their contract situation on defense. Cap is going up but they’d have to pay the good players here a lot more than they are right now (3.9M AAV for Bouchard, 3.4M AAV for Walman, 2.75M AAV for Kulak) and Ekholm would be getting up there in years.
