brother, this is exactly the situation people make jokes about. also, 20 year old kid? are you kidding me? dude is a fully grown adult being paid millions of dollars to play a game professionally and does not need you to infantilize him. unfortunate that this happened to him and yeah the picture probably shouldn’t be reposted everywhere, but be so for real right now.
So saying that you shouldn’t be looking at or sharing someone’s nudes without their consent is infantilizing now? It was an embarrassing mistake. I changed my mind and said jokes are fine, but some people are behaving weird as fuck. Like how would you like it if your dick was nearly advertised to the whole internet?
reread what i wrote. you said it was creepy to look at them because he’s a 20 year old kid, and fully insinuated that his age was the main reason for that. i called that infantilizing, because it is; he’s a fully grown adult. i also said it’s unfortunate this happened and i agree that the picture probably shouldn’t be spread around. but jokes about this are fully fair game considering the circumstances.
the ages of the people discussing my accidentally self-shared near-nudes would be the least of my concern at this point. that picture was taken of an adult, by an adult, and presumably for other adults. i can’t for the life of me understand any other reason for why you are so hung up on the ages involved here, other than you don’t think of sennecke as a real adult.
What would you be more concerned about? And yeah, I understand he’s legally an adult. But being over the age of 18 doesn’t mean that you’ve fully matured. Your brain doesn’t fully develop until you’re 26. I’m not saying that we need to coddle him and hold his hand because he probably doesn’t wanna talk about it. I’m just saying that people continuing to talk about it are kinda weird and inappropriate. I don’t know why you can’t seek to agree to that
the fact that it happened in the first place is unfortunate, and i don’t think it needs to be any deeper than that. he’ll get some flak from his teammates and other players, and probably some people will be weird about it with signs during games, but people joking online about someone else’s stupid mistake is a tale as old as time and not a sign of moral failing. also, the brain comment is junk science and absolutely should not be applied here.
