Not the only instance I’ve experienced of them being fucking obnoxious either, just the worst. I follow Hockey, american football, and baseball, and the Oilers have far and away the worst fanbase I’ve interacted with in any of them

Every fanbase has their crazies. As far as actual members of the organization goes, Oilers clear them in every category and it’s not close

I’d rather root for the org and players that befriends 6 year old cancer patients and not the one that concusses people, hires coaches that covered up abuse, calls women whores, goes to strip clubs when they’re married, and makes insensitive tweets about ongoing global tragedies. That’s just me though I guess

Both teams are dirty (to be expected — it’s the playoffs not a friend making competition), Panthers more so but the Oilers fans try way harder to pretend they’re not and that pisses me off. Both teams have some guys who are pretty good off the ice (I think Marchand and Schmidt are for example) “Hires coaches that cover up abuse” the Oilers’ fucking GM is STAN BOWMAN “Are bad to women” you have Evander Kane on your team

I really don’t have a problem with you liking the Oilers at all, it’s perfectly valid to prefer them (the Panthers are certainly easy to hate). Just don’t fucking grandstand about how you’re morally superior for rooting for them or whatever, nobody cares unless they already agree with you and it’s just annoying

There’s a huge difference between playing dirty or physical and actively attempting to injure your opponents. Sam Bennet thinks he plays for the 09 Saints. It’s disrespectful to the integrity of the game

Roope Hintz’s first game back from an injury from Darnell Nurse slashing his foot. Bouchard looked down at his feet and deliberately slashed the same foot that Nurse had injured several games prior
