I hate that I’m afab, nb, have a large chest and long hair, and people in queer spaces always give me looks when I say they/them. I like the way that I look. Just bc I’m afab doesn’t mean that presenting feminine makes me a girl

Honestly I agree that that sucks. The whole thing where assigned gender at birth is asked every time I say I’m nonbinary.. it just feels like people don’t see nonbinary as a gender in itself. I’m tired of having to disclose what’s in my pants to enter certain spaces

Yes! I went through a period of thinking I had to present androgynously to be “true nb” but I realized that if an AMAB person was wearing the exact same things with the same hair and makeup they would be taken more seriously as nb and that helped me feel okay being more feminine and knowing that it doesn’t make me any less nonbinary
