i’m T4T personally and that’s the only way i’ve found that they actually respect my identity as a trans man. my partner is nb and we’ve been dating for years with zero misgendering issues

i find it helpful to be friends with someone before even considering dating them so you can vibe check them first

Be friends with people first, or try dating queer people where they are slightly more likely to understand why that isn’t okay

Otherwise you can never truly bet on people being okay or not. T4T isn’t always a solution either, I have met many transphobic trans people in my lifetime because everyone is still people and they think what they want. So in my opinion it doesn’t matter trans or cis or anything else, u have to check if they are a good person first.
