trying to remember that i don't owe anyone androgyny but i just feel like no one is taking me seriously :( i don't think i'd look good with short hair bc i don't have the jawline for it

I am quite chubby with a round face and I love my short hair now! I remember it being really difficult to cut because I hid my face behind long hair for so long, but it’s genuinely so freeing to try short hair

You don’t owe anyone androgyny but if you want short hair you should totally get it!! Fat men have short hair all the fuckin time, there’s no reason why fat women and nbys can’t too

But you’re very right about your appearance being up to you only. I’ve seen plenty of genderqueer people with all different styles of hair. Your hair is your own and it shouldn’t make you feel like you’re someone else

Yes to all of this!! And the people who don’t respect your gender identity aren’t going to start respecting it bcos you cut your hair :// in my experience, having tits is an insurmountable obstacle in getting conservatives to view you as androgynous (or as a person tbfh). But haircuts can def make you more obviously queer to others in the community!!
