i think if you like your name you should keep it! but maybe cedes (ik that’s pretty close to ur name but sometimes when choosing a name something close to ur original name can be a good place to start cuz it’s still new but you still feel that connection with your old name)

you should go by Merce! and emphasize the e’s how ever you want! i’m a big fan of simplifying given names (as much as possible) and that feels like a super easy one
