I hate the expectation for nb folk to deviate from their assigned gender— like being expected to wear a binder and dress masculine in order to “actually be nb”

I get where you’re coming from with this. It took a lot of separating feminine means female. Once I separated the two it became easier to express my feminine side and still feel confident as my enby identity regardless of what others thought. It takes time though

the construct of gender and people deciding you arent “nonbinary enough” is so hard like just because someone presents as the societal norm of their agab doesnt invalidate their identity

I agree. Growing up I loathed pink, frills, dresses, anything considered traditionally feminine. Now that I’ve come to terms with my identity as a non binary person, I actually do like the color pink, dresses and more traditionally feminine things (though frills still aren’t my thing)
